2015 Commander’s Report PDF_0001

Our camp had a very busy year from 2014 to 2015.  We were involved in a lot of community activities, a Tennessee signature sesquicentennial Civil War event, and special Memorial Day events.  We have met every month with a luncheon Camp Mess Meeting building upon the Fraternity of the camp.  Late in the year we have gotten involved in fundraising for Wreaths Across America, supporting our mission of Charity.  We are also excited to participate in the Maryville Christmas parade which will give us even more visibility in our community.  And of course we continuously show our Loyalty to our great Union, the United States of America, and to our order.

In August, we received two prestigious National awards:  the Abraham Lincoln Commander-in-Chief’s Award as the Most Outstanding Camp in the country and the Horace Greeley Award for the Most Outstanding web site in the country.  We are very honored to have been chosen to receive these awards given that there are so many worthy camps across the country.

Words are difficult to summarize such a year.  Therefore, we have prepared the following video.  It’s about 25 minutes long.  We hope you enjoy!
